Biography:
“12 Daze” consists of one member, Matt Theberge. From 1996 to 2005, Matt has released five CDs under the name “12 Daze”. In between CD releases, Matt has participated in other projects. Being a long time member of a Northern New Hampshire based band, “Alien X”, Matt had the opportunity to back acts such as
Great
White, and Blue Oyster
Cult. After a few years, “Alien X” took a long overdue break. This break would result in a short lived side project for Matt. He became the drummer for a band called “Coldfire”. This band was a tribute to
the Canadian Progressive band Rush. “Coldfire” played two
shows with Rik Emett (formerly of the band
Triumph). Soon thereafter, “Coldfire” would come to a screaming halt and “Alien X” would reform. The band would go on to release 2 CDs before finally calling it quits in 1999. Matt’s last live performance with a band was New Years Eve 1999. He sat in with a band known as “Clockwork Orange”. When the year 2000 came, Matt decided to drop out of the local band circuit and produce music he can be proud of.
Today, Matt continues to write and record on his own. Some of his influences are
Chris Shinn (formerly of
Unified
Theory), the late Shannon Hoon,
James
Walsh,
Kevin
Martin, and Adam Duritz.
Some of Matt’s favorite songs, which can be found somewhere in the “12 Daze” CD Collection, are: Bring Me Back, Civil Place, Fray Another Thread, Unity, Pain, From the Inside, In My Mind, Five Miles Away, Deeper Down, and A Look Into a Dark Mind.
